From relationship to identity
The Great Beloved

At this mystical level of experience, God is perceived as the Great Beloved, whose love may manifest as both unreasonable and testing. To attain this highest level of religious experience, individuals may employ any religion, worldview, or art form as a gateway to the mystical encounter with the Divine. Essentially, the mystic directly experiences the Divine and transcends the need for faith or dogma.

The world becomes infused with living metaphors, symbols, and archetypes. This trans-rational mysticism unveils all-encompassing visions and an omnipresent God. What was expressed at lower levels of religious experience as a relationship to the divine now becomes an identification with the divine, as articulated in statements like “I and the Father are one” (attributed to both Jesus and Mansur Al Hallaj). However, such expressions can be life-threatening because they are not recognised by communities operating at lower levels of religious experience

In Bitcoin-Leadership this represents the merging of daily consciousness with the eternal, transcending time preference and the limitations of specific religions. While this may sound irrational to some Bitcoiners, it represents a very real experience that fosters reverence and a deeper connection to the larger mystery of life. Even for those who don’t believe in God, there is a path toward this fusion with the all-encompassing, divine mystery of existence.
