Level 6. Simplexity
What is it?
The term “Simplexity” is a fusion of ‘simple’ and ‘complex’, denoting a level of consciousness where the intricacies of existence are observed through gradual trends and significant correlations. This involves the ability to encapsulate processes in simple metaphors without oversimplifying their underlying complexities, as famously articulated by Einstein: “Make things as simple as possible, but no simpler than that.”
Simplexity necessitates a nuanced simplification essential for overseeing human development. It requires thinking in metaphors and understanding slow historical and teleological processes. The capacity to perceive coherence extends to higher intuitions and karmic insights that may not be easily shared, often serving as preparation for mystical knowledge and maintaining silence.
While reaching this level may be more common with advancing age, young individuals can also access it. However, the danger lies in potentially expending too much vitality in the process.
In Bitcoin-Leadership this corresponds to a time preference for long cycles of 80 years or more. It can be attained through studying history and cultural disparities. Achieving simplexity involves training the mind to navigate complexity by finding suitable metaphors, alongside adept memetic thinking akin to first principles thinking.
A potent method of combining complexity and simplicity lies in studying the cycles of empires. This approach allows for the integration of the universal (simple) and the unique (complex). While all empires follow a trajectory of growth, dominion, overextension, and collapse, each does so in its own distinct manner and pace.
