The sixth chakra, also known as the forehead chakra or third eye (the pineal gland, The Eye of Horus), symbolises humanity’s capacity for visions, expansive perspectives, and heightened presence of mind. In Taoism, it aligns with the upper Tan Tien, an energy centre.

This sixth level of consciousness can be understood as a refined sublimation of the sexual energy associated with the second chakra. The mirroring between these levels can be interpreted in several ways. Firstly, on an energetic level, various meditative practices, such as Tantra, utilise this sublimation process of transforming erotic energy to visionary energy. Secondly, at the level of Sensationality (second chakra), experiences are often absorbed through literal, physical senses, whereas at the level of Simplexity, heightened experiences occur without the need for additional sensory input. Thirdly, cognitively, this mirroring provides insight into global differences in mentality groups, influencing the way these groups engage with sensory experiences at the second level of Sensationality.
