The underlying structure of religious experience

At this level, our religious experience is characterised by eclecticism and depth. We discern common themes in spiritual and atheistic systems of thought. In sacred texts, we can easily distinguish between metaphors and factual content, temporality and eternity, and appreciate the underlying truths. Through our awareness of layered interconnectedness, we learn to surrender to the mystery of ‘something greater’.
Simultaneously, we learn to make the best use of the religious (or atheistic) system within which we grew up and, where possible, supplement or reinterpret it.
As we develop towards the level of mysticism, we manage to recognise more and more of the underlying structure of the human and cosmic story in the multitude of worldviews.
Knowledge and understanding of this religious richness helps us find wonder, strength, and comfort in facing the overwhelming beauty of creation. We learn to experience both the awe-inspiring and gruesome aspects of the ‘mysterium tremendum et fascinans’.

In Bitcoin-Leadership this is the religious experience that we can achieve by allowing the archetypal power of the memes. Some Bitcoiners will specifically choose their religion of choice, while others will be more eclectically oriented. But for everyone, there is this enrichment of the psychological world with the depth of religion.
A crucial step we can take at this level is to navigate between the many layers of magic that Bitcoin offers, from the symbolism of the hashing algorithm to the alchemical wedding between abundant energy and digital scarcity.
