We strive to strike a balance between individual and collective interests and can empathise with both perpetrators and offenders. Through enhanced compassion, we reduce our identification with personal traits and history. This entails approaching our own identity and morality with a greater degree of detachment from innate or learned characteristics. Consequently, our morality begins to transcend local laws.

It may involve relocating to a different jurisdiction or actively engaging in politics to advocate for changes to laws deemed unjust.
