Level 2 – B. Space and time preference

The tribe
Monthly rhythm

The encompassable time is extended to months and seasons (like in longing for the summer holidays).
Menstruation in girls initiates the monthly rhythm and boys learn to go along with it by realising the importance of this cycle. Life is regulated to the weekly rhythm of school/study, monthly exams and seasonal holidays.
The encompassable social unit is the friend group, clan, tribe, gang, style or fashion group, town, sports or music club, fan club, age group, class. All together, they help replace the nuclear family, form our identity and prepare us for adult life.

Fixation
People can remain fixated at this level, for example due to an innately high impulse level or a delayed maturation. They then continue to classify people into mainly sympathetic or antipathetic, friend or foe, until old age. Especially in poor neighbourhoods, we see membership of tribes and gangs continuing for a long time, possibly because of the survival value or social status gained with it.

In Bitcoin-Leadership this is already the first achievement: to move from a daily time frame to a monthly or even seasonal. It means that we panic less and learn to approach developments in Bitcoin with less fear and greed.
As for the social scope: we can derive a lot of comfort if we have a local tribe of Bitcoiners.
