Space preference: core family
Time preference: hour to day to week

The encompassable time span is short at first, there is only the now. Then the child learns to encompass an hour, a day, eventually a week. The encompassable space is still small and surveyable. Life takes place in the context of the core family and later the extended family. The literal space concerns one’s home, the neighbourhood and, within it, the school.
Gradually, others also become important: pets, friends, acquaintances of the educators, outside educators (the childcare workers and other teachers), the classroom, the school, the sports club, nature.

Fixation 
It may happen that a person remains fixated on this level due to traumatic circumstances. This then manifests itself in a short attention span and a strong focus on immediate satisfaction of basic needs. Also, in times of great hunger or war, people often fall back to this level. Many populists appeal to this level of desired simple solutions to complex problems.

In Bitcoin-Leadership this is another foundation. As parents we make sure that our children grow up in a safe environment. We feed them healthy food and spare them from disharmony or overstimulation. We can only do that best if we have adopted and healed our own inner child. This is why Bitcoiners probably thrive better outside the cities, in a more healthy environment, for themselves and for the families they want to raise.As for time preference: we need to learn to combine different layers. The child consciousness lives in the ever present now, the older self oversees longer time periods.
